The new Family Services Center will be inaugurated on Wednesday 12 June at 7.30 pm in Piazza Sant’Agostino. The Service will be presented to the city by the professionals who make up the entire multidisciplinary team that reports to the Social Services Sector. Starting from 3 June, the Center became operational after management was assigned to the SoleLuna Social Cooperative, recipient of the municipal mandate following the completion of the public tender procedure. The Center will be aimed at promoting the rights of children and adolescents and educational responsibilities. The Cooperative, through specialist consultancy aimed at supporting parents and citizens, will also offer socio-educational workshops and aggregation moments which aim to promote the development of family networks, to enhance the dimension of being parents and the protagonism of families.
The Center will be located in Piazza Sant’Agostino and will be accessible and visitable on the occasion of the inauguration. It will be operational from Monday to Friday, alternately morning and afternoon, at times that will be announced to citizens shortly. The assigned rooms, usable by all citizens, are positioned on two levels: in the street level part there is a conference room for promotion and awareness-raising activities, while on the first floor there will be the heart of the service: spaces organized for welcoming citizens, for psychological, pedagogical and legal consultancy, neutral spaces and educational laboratories. «It is a space that we have completed and opened as an administration – explains the mayor Giovanna Bruno – with a view to the redevelopment of the historic center and the implementation of services to the neighborhood and the city. Another piece that fits in the right place and which must now have concrete consequences through the family center.”

Therefore, I believe that making a physical place available to citizens where they can ask for support, discussion and help is an important result for the entire city.” The mayor Giovanna Bruno, the municipal councilor for Welfare Dora Conversano, the Director of Social Services Dr. Irene Turturo and the President of the SoleLuna Cooperative, Giovanni Barnaba, will take part in the ribbon cutting ceremony.
