Caserta / Casagiove – The 44-year-old from Casagiove will have to answer for the crime of drug dealing who, on the evening of yesterday 9 June, in via Isonzo, in Caserta, was arrested by the carabinieri of the Radiomobile Section of the local company because he was caught giving away narcotic drugs of the cocaine type to a 48-year-old local man. What attracted the attention of the soldiers of the Carabinieri, in transit in that street, was the change of hands of a €50 banknote which occurred between the arrested person, sitting in a Mercedes class A, and a 48-year-old, on foot, at exterior of the vehicle. When the two noticed the presence of the police, who were in transit in that street at the time, it was too late to try to hide both the banknote and the narcotic. When stopped and searched, the driver of the Mercedes, with specific criminal records, was found in possession of the sum of €380 in cash and a cellophane bag containing a narcotic substance of the cocaine type, which he kept in his trouser pocket. Then in the street, in front of the door of the Mercedes, the police found and seized two other cellophane sachets, again containing cocaine, probably dropped to the ground by the pusher or the buyer when the police arrived. The subsequent house search carried out at the arrested person’s home allowed the discovery and seizure of two further doses, one of cocaine and the other of hashish, as well as a precision scale, sachets for packaging and the cash sum of 2,170.00 €. The arrested person was taken to the district house of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, while the buyer was reported to the Prefecture of Caserta.
