The music of Bach and Morricone interpreted by the Palermo pianist Antonello Manco, in concert at the Circolo Artistico Città di Palermo on Wednesday 12 June, at 7.30 pm. An unmissable event for classical music lovers. During the event called “The Piano, from Bach to Morricone” maestro Manco will perform masterpieces of the classical repertoire and contemporary compositions by Bach, Liszt, Fain, Morricone and Visconti.

Antonello Manco was born in Palermo in 1964 and at the age of 16 he graduated from the State Conservatory of Music of Palermo where he became a teacher only two years later. Among his teachers were Antonio Trombone for the piano and Eliodoro Sollima for composition. His repertoire ranges from ancient music to contemporary authors. He is the author of various pieces of instrumental and vocal music.

His concert activity took him to the Mozarteum in Salzburg in 1982, at the invitation of maestro Carlo Zecchi, on tour in Italy, Germany, Austria, the former Soviet Union, the United States, playing in Boston, Washington and at Carnegie Hall in New York , where he performed, in the American premiere, Pilati’s suite for piano and string orchestra. He also participated in numerous television and radio programs, in particular on Rai, where he performed the complete version of the Brahms-Paganini variations in a recital. There are also numerous radio recordings for Rai where he played as a soloist and in chamber ensembles.
