TANK – The new Police Commissioner of Latina Fausto Vinci announced it on the day of his inauguration, explaining that he will move throughout the provincial territory and started from Cisterna. Welcoming the Senior Director of the State Police, accompanied by the Deputy Chief of Police of the Cisterna Public Security Police Station, Dr. Riccardo De Santis, in addition to the Mayor Valentino Mantini, there were the Councillors, the President of the City Council and the managers of the Authority.
Mayor Mantini briefly illustrated some of the issues that have most interested and continue to interest the community of Cisterna, including the dramatic cases of femicide, and delivered a report on the state of public order under municipal jurisdiction to the Police Commissioner. An inspection was then carried out in the operations room of the local Police Headquarters, where Dr. Vinci was pleased to note the efficient video surveillance system made up of 105 context cameras, 20 license plate reading cameras and related analysis software, and 2 mobile cameras.
The mayor also illustrated the contents of the “Security Pact” signed on 10 December 2021 between the Municipality of Cisterna and the Prefect, with which the direct connection of the national police forces to the video surveillance system is active.
The Police Commissioner has assured that he will be vigilant and present throughout the provincial territory and not just in the capital. Furthermore, he underlined the importance of synergy between the various bodies, especially with the Local Police and mayors, in monitoring, prevention, investigation and repression activities in order to guarantee public safety and protection.
Former police commissioner of Viterbo, Dr. Vinci took office in Latina on May 29th.
