WEDGE NEWS – The study stay in Paris which involved thirty students from the ITC Bonelli in Cuneo has just ended and the nostalgia is already being felt.
It was a truly unique experience that allowed the students to live in direct contact with the French culture and language. The boys, in fact, were hosted at different care families in the city of Brétigny-sur-Orge, where every morning they followed a French language course divided by level at the Lycée Jean-Pierre Timbaud.
The afternoon, however, was dedicated to visiting the villas of light. On Monday the Louvre museum, where the students were able to admire the various artistic beauties on display, including the Venus de Milo, Cupid and Psyche, the Dying Slave, the Virgin of the Rocks, Freedom who leads the People, the Raft of the Medusa and last but not least, the Mona Lisa. Afterwards, they took a tour of the Île de la Cité and the Tuileries gardens. The next day, however, it was Montmartre’s turn with the Basilica of the Sacred Heart and Pigalle.
On Wednesday, great amazement was aroused by the magnificence and majesty of the Palace of Versailles, the ancient residence of Louis XIV and, above all, its immense gardens, where the Bonelli students attended a musical show. Thursday visit was the turn of the Arc de Triomphe, the Unknown Soldier and, finally, the Champs Élysées with a subsequent visit to the Opéra and the panoramic view of Paris, shopping, dinner in the park and sunset waiting for the lighting of the Eiffel Tower .
The last day was dedicated to visiting the Eiffel Tower and sailing on the bateau-mouche. Everything was made even more magical by the environment and the atmosphere that can be felt while waiting for the 2024 Olympic Games which will begin on Friday 26 July.
