FLORENCE. In a Tuscany that confirms the Democratic Party in the lead in the European elections – 31.9% – with the Brothers of Italy at 27.4%, the 5 Star Movement on 8.2% and the League at 6.2%, the geography regional politics returns a more varied map, with chromatic shades that change depending on the provinces and municipalities. Let’s look at them in detail, with some cases in particular.

Massa-Carrara

In the Apuan province Fratelli d’Italia is the first party with 25%, followed by the Democratic Party at 24.7% and the Forza Italia, Noi Moderati and Ppe groups at 15.6%, driven by some municipalities in Lunigiana (in Pontremoli we are talking about 56 ,5%). The 5 Star Movement, however, stops at 9%, with the League at 7.7% and the Green and Left Alliance (Avs) at 6.4%. In Massa the Democratic Party leads with 27.6%, followed by Fratelli d’Italia (26.6), due to a very similar trend recorded in Carrara, 26.4 the Democratic Party, 25.9 FdI. As mentioned, the Forza Italia, Noi Moderati and EPP grouping, Pontremoli above all, is going strong in Lunigiana; while in Fivizzano FdI takes 28%.

Lucca

In Lucca Fratelli d’Italia stands, as a province, at 32% against 24% for the Democratic Party; the other parties are further behind: 8.2 the 5 Star Movement, 7.8 the League, 7.6 Avs and 6.8 Forza Italia, Noi Moderati and Ppe. In the capital Fratelli d’Italia is close to 29%, while the Democratic Party is at 26.4%; close to 10% Alleanza Verdi Sinistra. Head to head in Viareggio (27% of the Pd, 27.3 of the Brothers of Italy), decidedly more significant percentage differences in Castelnuovo Garfagnana (FdI at 32.7%, the Pd at 25.4%) and in Stazzema (33, 7 FdI, 21.8 the Pd), but also in Versilia with Fratelli d’Italia first party in Forte dei Marmi, Camaiore, Seravezza and Pietrasanta at the European Championships.

Livorno

In the province of Livorno, with the capital also awaiting the outcome of the administrative elections, we recall that the Democratic Party is in the lead with 33%, Fratelli d’Italia at 25.2% and the M5S at 11.2%. Still at the provincial level, Avs is at 7.5% and the League at 6.5%. Pd and FdI also have similar percentages in municipalities such as Piombino; different trend instead in Cecina: at 30.5% there is the Brothers of Italy, at 28.2 the Democratic Party. Arriving in the capital, the Pd closes at 36.3%, FdI does not reach 21% (20.8%), while the M5S exceeds 12.3%, Avs is on 8.7%, with the League stops at 5.4%.

Pisa

Even in the province of Pisa the secretary’s Democratic Party Elly Schlein is in the lead in the European elections with 32%, while Fratelli d’Italia is at 26.8%. Then the others: M5S at 8.6%, Avs 7.7%, the League at 7.5% and Forza Italia, Noi Moderati and Ppe at 5.4%. Data which in Pisa city brings the Dems to 33.5% with the prime minister’s party Giorgia Meloni which slips to 22.4% due to a narrowing difference (32% the Dems, 30% Fratelli d’Italia) on Pontedera, for example.

Prato and Pistoia

Both as provincial data and at the capital level, in Prato the Democratic Party is ahead in the European elections with the Dems at 32% (at the provincial level, as well as at the municipal level) and the FdI at 31.2 (at the provincial level, which becomes 30.8 in the capital). The M5S is at 7.11%, Forza Italia, Noi Moderati and Ppe at 6.8%, Avs at 6.1% and the League at 5.6%, again according to provincial data for Prato.

In Pistoia, however, the Brothers of Italy are ahead at the provincial level – 30.6% (Pd at 28.4%) -, but not in Pistoia, the capital, with the Pd at 31% and the Brothers of Italy at 25%. Among the other municipalities, Fratelli d’Italia takes 34.1% in Montecatini: here the Democratic Party, however, comes close to 21%.

Florence

And we arrive at the regional capital. Here the Democratic Party, at the provincial level, exceeds 36.5%, while Fratelli d’Italia is at 22.4%, with Alleanza Verdi Sinistra close to 10% (9.4%) with M5S at 7.5% and Lega and Forza Italia which are close to 5%. Data, more or less, which are also confirmed for the Florentine city, in which the Democratic Party drops to 35.6%, FdI to 20.8%, but the United States of Europe takes 8.1%, with Alleanza Verdi Sinistra at 10.9%, the 5 Star Movement at 6.5% and the League at 4.1%. Moving on to other cities in the province, in Empoli, for example, the Dems are clearly ahead with 38.2% (FdI at 22.5%), with the M5S here exceeding 10%.

Grosseto

Moving on to the Maremma and Amiata, the province of Grosseto sees the advantage of the Brothers of Italy (34.2%, against 26.7% of the Democratic Party) which in Grosseto city translates into 32% (Pd at 25.7% in the Maremma capital). Then, again at the provincial level, the M5S (8.1%), Lega (7.2%), Forza Italia, Noi Moderati and Ppe (6.5%) and Avs (5.5%). Moving on to the other municipalities of Maremma and Amiata, Fratelli d’Italia in Capalbio “breaks through the roof” by 40% (41.3%, while the Democratic Party is at 23.4%); Fratelli d’Italia also ahead in the European elections in Follonica (a city awaiting local elections, moreover) with 32.2% (Pd at 29.9%) and in Castel Del Piano (39% for Prime Minister Meloni’s party, against 25 % of Pd).

Siena and Arezzo

In Siena, at the provincial level, the Democratic Party is at 36% and Fratelli d’Italia is at 27.3%. Data which – respectively – goes to 34.6 and 26.9% for Siena as the capital. In Arezzo, the Brothers of Italy are in the lead at 32%, with the Democratic Party at 29.4%, for a trend that is also confirmed in the capital city of the province of Arezzo: Brothers of Italy at 31.7% and the Democratic Party at 27%.
