The relationship between information and power, the management of emergencies, the new leadership, the rules of the market: the thematic reviews of Passaggi Festival (Fano, 26/30 June) on politics, current affairs and economics will enter into the mechanisms of the country. Opening the meetings (26/6 Chiostro delle Benedettine) will be the journalist Antonio Padellaro who will tell us “Only the truth I swear. Journalists clown artists” (Piemme), a professional autobiography of the former director first of l’Unità and then of Fatto Quotidiano, and today president of the editorial company of Il Fatto, which is an opportunity to reflect on the history of Italy and the exposed nerves of information and politics. The author will converse with the culture editor of Ansa, Elisabetta Stefanelli. In the second appointment Agostino Miozzo (27/06), former director of Civil Protection and coordinator of the CTS in the Covid emergency, will explain to us how to “Protect communities. Preventing and managing disasters” (Ecra). He will discuss it with the journalist Antonio Polito, the president of the Marche Region Francesco Acquaroli and the vice-president of the Emilia Romagna Region, Irene Priolo. We will then delve deeper into the investigation into the Anti-Mafia dossiers with the journalists Brunella Bolloli and Rita Cavallaro (29/06, former Church of San Francesco), co-authors of the book ‘Il “verminaio’ (Baldini+Castoldi) on which they will discuss with Tommaso Cerno, director of Il Tempo and Andrea Agostini, president of the Marche Cultura Foundation.
The economics review, organized in collaboration with the Marche Chamber of Commerce, will offer us five meetings: first guest will be the president of the Italian Stock Exchange Claudia Parzani (26/06) who will illustrate the importance of women and young people in ‘The revolution of outsider. The new leadership that will change the world” (Rizzoli) in dialogue with the journalist Luigi Benelli. On the same day, former INPS president Pasquale Tridico will explain to us how to “Govern the economy. A duel on open society’ (Il Mulino) Emanuele Felice and Alberto Mingardi will speak (27/06) starting from a question: what is liberalism really? The authors will dialogue with Francesca Puglisi, manager of Bologna Fiere. The economist Veronica De Romanis (28/06) will remove the mask from the deceptions on public spending with her ‘The free lunch. Ten years of public spending without (apparent) costs’ (Mondadori) in dialogue with Bolloli. In closing Francesco Tundo (30/6) author of “The tax reform. The Matteotti method” (Bologna University Press) will discuss with Gianni La Bella, professor of contemporary history at Unimore, and Nando dalla Chiesa, sociologist at the University of Milan.
