Umbria che Spacca, new ‘UniStraPg Stage’: a social dissemination stage at the festival

Gender violence, inequalities and disparities in the cultural world, cultural events and accessibility. These are the themes that will be addressed with “Talkin’ heads, Takin’ actions”, the first social dissemination stage branded “L’Umbria che Spacca”. Not just music therefore for the festival scheduled in Perugia from 3 to 7 July. In collaboration with the University for Foreigners of Perugia, through the new “UniStraPg Stage” 3 different thematic panels have been designed which will take place on 3, 4 and 5 July on the rooftop of Palazzo Gallenga (from 6pm, free entry until reaching capacity). Furthermore, before the various panels starting from 5pm, there will be the possibility of following a guided tour “Discover Unistrapg” organized by Fai Giovani Perugia.

It starts on Wednesday 3 July with “Gender Violence”: speakers include Flavia Carlini (author, popularizer and political activist), Maria Luisa Favitta and Giulia Canalicchio (Libera…mente Donna) and Stefania Tusini (UniStraPG). Thursday 4 July continues with “Accessible Culture”: speakers Marika Lerario and Argentina Cirillo (AAA Project), Mattia Liguori (Inclusion Fest). The last appointment is on Friday 5 July with “Discrimination in the cultural industry”: Alessandra Micalizzi (sociologist and SAE professor), Irene Tiberi (Equaly) and Giacomo Nencioni (UniStraPG).

“UniStraPg Stage” it is therefore one of the 8 stages that this year characterize the eleventh edition of “L’Umbria che Spacca”. Next to “Main Stage” of the Giardini del Frontone (where the headliners Colapesce Dimartino, Fulminacci, Mahmood, Salmo and Noyz Narcos, La Sad, Vanilla and Bambole di Pezza are expected among others) the stage that hosts the most incredible parties and events made in Umbria also returns: “UniPg Stage”, created in collaboration with the University of Perugia, will also be the setting for the finals of Unimusic, the university contest organized by Adisu on the evenings of 5 and 6 July. The festival also offers the now inevitable afternoon concerts “The Gallery that Splits” in collaboration with the National Gallery of Umbria (Enrico Nigiotti, Dente, Michelangelo, Nada) and those at dawn in the Medieval Garden in collaboration with CAMS – University Center for Scientific Museums for “Garden Stage” (Casadilego, Micah P. Hinson, Any Other). Festival tickets are on presale online at www.umbriachespacca.it and in authorized sales points.

Numerous institutions and partners accompany this eleventh edition of the festival, created with the support and patronage of the Umbria Region and the Municipality of Perugia; with the support of the Perugia Foundation; in collaboration with the National Gallery of Umbria; with the patronage of the University of Perugia, Adisu Umbria, University for Foreigners of Perugia, Fai – Italian Environment Fund Delegation of Perugia, Fai – Italian Environment Fund for Youth Delegation of Perugia; as sponsors Mastri Birrai Umbri and Coop Centro Italia; with Radio Subasio as Official Radio; as a Testone partner; funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
