The investigation by the Operations Department of the Carabinieri Health Protection Command in Rome, coordinated by the deputy public prosecutor of Rimini, Davide Ercolani, arrives at the National Anti-Doping Prosecutor’s Office.

The Nas operation at the beginning of May led to the application of 11 precautionary measures and the arrest of a couple in the Republic of San Marino. Among the “clients” of the organization which, according to the order of the investigating judge of the Court of Rimini, Vinicio Cantarini, would be based on Titano, two athletes registered with sports federations recognized by CONI were also identified.

This would be a female athlete registered with the FIGC as a female five-a-side football player and a male athlete registered with the Fita (Italian Taekwondo Federation). Numerous people active in the world of body building have also been identified and reported, some members of the Ifbb (International Federation of Body Building & Fitness) active in the prolonged intake of doping substances to prepare for competitions. All professional athletes for whom anti-doping legislation is envisaged will therefore be reported to the National Anti-Doping Prosecutor’s Office, the investigative structure of Nado, the National Anti-Doping organization which has exclusive responsibility for the adoption of sporting regulations in compliance with the World Anti-Doping Code.
