Better than previous elections but worse than previous European elections, the Democratic Party in Tuscany is the leading party with almost 32% of the votes, in 2019 it had exceeded 33% while in previous elections it had stopped at just over 26%. The outgoing mayor of Florence Dario Nardella is the second most voted in Tuscany. With her 60 thousand preferences, she also surpasses Elly Schlein. The second political force – again with regard to the result of the European elections in Tuscany – is the Brothers of Italy, which instead makes a real leap forward. With Meloni the preference champion, she took 125 thousand.
Today Fdi is at more than 27% while in the previous European elections in Tuscany it was almost 5%. Practically a real “substitution effect” with the League. Salvini’s party in fact gained more than 31% in Tuscany in 2019 while today it stops at a much more modest 6.21% and only thanks to the driving force of Vannacci who in Tuscany received more than 37 thousand preferences. The 5 Star Movement is third, going from almost 13% in the last round of European elections to 8.2% today.
