Here are the candidates who obtained the most preferences and who will be elected to the European Parliament: Roberto Vannacci and Ilaria Salis are already certain of their positions, there are also several names secured for the Democratic Party – from Antonio Decaro to Cecilia Strada -, for Fratelli d’Italia and for the 5 Star Movement.

The 2024 European elections have concluded, and the final results that are arriving will indicate the names of the 76 European parliamentarians elected by Italy. There are some candidates who are already certain of election: among these Roberto Vannacci for the League, Ilaria Salis for the Verdi-Sinistra, Cecilia Strada and Antonio Decaro for the Democratic Party, Pasquale Tridico for the 5 Star Movement. It is also possible to know who took the most preferences: the Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni with his candidacy as leader in all the constituencies he has well exceeded the two million mark, even if he will not go to the European Parliament; the aforementioned Vannacci obtained around 500 thousand, like the former mayor of Bari Antonio Decaro (candidate only in the South); Ilaria Salis, candidate for the North West and the Islands, reached 170 thousand. Around 200 thousand preferences for the secretary of the Democratic Party Elly Schlein, who was a candidate in the Center and in the Islands (but only in the first case as head of the list). Around 380 thousand preferences for Antonio Tajani, secretary of Forza Italia which was the leader in all constituencies except the Islands.
