Both rankings have moved in the “Errebi Mobility” Asti Padel team championship, the territorial phase of the CSI national championship.
On Monday 3 June in field 3 of the Via Gerbi facility, the Arena Padel Team took full advantage against the Puntazos, obtaining a 3-0 which launched them to third place in the standings. On field 4 the home team Asti Padel maintains second place by getting rid of FTP Soc. Coop. who loses 3-0 but sells his life dearly in every set, often reaching, but losing, the “golden point”. At the same time on field 2, the advance match took place between two Elite teams who were supposed to play the following evening, namely Cisterna Padel Club vs Format srl, a match which took place for the entire duration of the 90 minute round and which saw the Cisterna Padel Club triumph in the first two sets (the first in a tie-break) and giving up a point in the last.
The following evening, again at the Asti Padel, the battleship A-Team also beats the Elite Dama Work Solution team with a triple 6-3 that left their opponents no escape. Wednesday 5 June Jolly Ludic CSI obtains the first victory at the expense of the Unthinkables who however manage to win a set obtaining the first point in the rankings of the season.
Thursday evening at the Valenzani club the men’s group ended with the match between Icecebois and Abdominal, two other teams hungry for points who did not hold back and who had to cross their rackets for 80 minutes before decreeing the final 2-1 favor of Abdominal. Icecebois find their first point of the season but still have to deal with the bad luck that sees them lose almost all the gold points but above all suffer improbable and lucky points from their opponents, who have nevertheless shown on the pitch that they deserve the victory (watch the full video of the meeting on Youtube and the immediate considerations of Niccolò Lapenna of Abdominal on Instagram).
Friday was the mixed evening: at 6.30 pm at the Waya Padel club in Corso Pietro Chiesa the match took place between Giovani Dentro and DB Padel which saw the former prevail 3-0, three points for the “differently young” which means temporary first place in the rankings, followed at a distance from Beverly Hills 14100 which keeps pace thanks to the 3-0 given to Crumpets an hour and a half later at the Asti Padel, with the third set ended after 12 games.
The next day will be the last outing for the mixed team: Beverly Hills, taking advantage of the Giovani Dentro’s rest, will be able to try to overtake but will have to deal with DB Padel, a team still looking for their first victory. Chiquita Team, currently in third place, will instead have to try to keep up against Crumpets who are just one point behind.
In the men’s competition we will have the four Elite teams competing against each other: on Tuesday 11th there will be Cisterna-Dama while two days later there will be the big match Asti Padel-Format. The Pro challenges are also interesting, especially Abdominal-I Puntazos (Monday 10/06) and Icecebois-Jolly Ludic (Friday 14/06), matches that could further move the rankings.
