Monza, a project aims to revolutionize traffic

In the city of Monzaan ambitious project is taking shape under the watchful eyes of its citizens: the birth of the Monza Est station. An underpass, which today connects via Lecco and via Liberta, will transform into a vital hub for rail transport, promising to revolutionize the way where people move in the eastern part of the city.

The councilor for Mobility, Giada Turato, shared the progress of this project on social media, which recently saw the first technical surveys in via Einstein. This place, currently marked only by concrete ramps, will become the beating heart of a new transport hub, thanks to the 5 million euros of funds obtained in December 2023.

An important and decisive station

The future Monza Est station is more than just an addition to the existing infrastructure; it is a symbol of growth and sustainable development. Expected to open in the second half of 2027, the station will initially serve the S7 line, with plans to extend to further lines to cover the needs of a rapidly expanding area.

The project is part of the broader Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (PUMS), which aims to make Monza a more accessible and inclusive city. The objective is to create a multimodal hub that connects Monza East to the Park, thus facilitating the daily life of the people of Monza and helping to reduce the environmental impact of urban transport.

A work awaited by the community

As 2027 approaches, the community eagerly awaits the sound of the first train to stop in Monza East, marking the start of a new era for mobility and accessibility in the region.
