Natalia Ferrara leaves the management of ASIB

The Ticino director resigned on Friday with acceptance by the assembly of delegates of the Swiss Association of Bank Employees (ASIB). Ferrara said she will take on a more strategic role as head of social partnership.

Natalia Ferrara leaves her position as national director of ASIB, the Swiss Association of Bank Employees. Having started in 2016 as responsible for the Ticino Region, in 2021 Ferrara was appointed national director. The news, anticipated by the Corriere del Ticino, was then communicated by Ferrara herself in a note today, in which it is explained that from September 2024 she will move from her current operational role to that of member of the National Committee. Natalia Ferrara has decided to continue to engage within the association and she will be responsible in particular for the social partnership sector.

During the ASIB general assembly, held to mark its 107th year of activity, delegates from across the Confederation gathered at the Hotel Metropol in Zurich. During the evening, incumbent president Michael von Felten was re-elected for a second 4-year term. Together with him and Natalia Ferrara, Yasmina Barki, Friedrich Dumke, Flavian Heinzer, Donato Laino and Regula Steinemann were re-elected to the Committee. The Committee is thus made up of people from all linguistic regions and representatives active in various banks, maintaining a good balance between the different realities of the Swiss financial center (cantonal banks, foreign banks, large banks). The delegates also approved some statutory changes to streamline processes and facilitate the association’s activity for the benefit of its members.
