Pd and Antonio Decaro avalanche on the preferences for the European elections in Bari and in the province, but also an exit poll (waiting for this afternoon’s counting) for the municipal elections of the Apulian capital which will see a run-off between Vito Leccese and Fabio Romito: they are the two most politically relevant outcomes of the electoral round of 8 and 9 June for the renewal of the European Parliament and the Administrative.

Yesterday, when the polls closed, the counting for the European Elections began (with a turnout of 47%) which, in the Bari area, decidedly rewarded the Democratic Party with a record result, exceeding 45% of the preferences. In second place, however, Fratelli d’Italia with around 23%. The M5S is much further behind with just over 10%. Driving the Dems was the performance of the outgoing mayor of Bari, Antonio Decaro, who obtained almost 490 thousand votes in the southern constituency, of which over 184 thousand in the Bari area alone and just under 60 thousand in the capital – ALL EUROPEAN DATA

As regards the Bari municipal elections (counting from 2pm), however, the first Exit Polls have been released: Vito Leccese (Pd, Greens and 5 other lists) would be in the lead with a range of preferences between 42% and 46%. . The data would not allow him a victory in the first round.

Following would be Fabio Romito, supported by Fdi, Fi, Udc-Italia Prima and 7 other lists, with a range between 31 and 35%. Third, however, Michele Laforgia, supported by M5S, Bari Bene Comune and 4 other lists, estimated between 20 and 24 percent. Below 1%, however, for Sabino Mangano (Oltre) and Nicola Sciacovelli (two civic lists). After the counting for the municipal elections there will be that for the elections of the presidents of the 5 municipalities of Bari.

From 2pm the polls will also open for the administrative elections which will decide another 8 mayors in the Bari area, namely those of Binetto, Bitritto, Cellamare, Gioia del Colle, Putignano, Rutigliano, Santeramo and Turi.
