Now in its 26th edition, the Abbabula Festival, organized by the Cooperativa Le Ragazze Terribili, will take place from 27 June to 22 August with a calendar that will feature numerous artists on the stages of Sassari and Alghero.
With an eye always attentive to the valorisation of new national and local talents, this year the event opens at the Tavolara Pavilion in Sassari with “AbbaBIT”, an event dedicated to experimental and electronic music (27 and 28 June). These are the artists: Pierpaolo Vacca, Dancalia, Teresa Virginia Salis, Puta Caso (27 June); Federica Lecca, Allee der Kosmonauten, Was, Gold Mass (28 June).
The setting of the Tavolara Pavilion will once again host “Fior de Limone” on 26 July, the homage to Gabriella Ferri curated by Silvia Pilia, Carlo Doneddu and Federico Marras Perantoni, and on 30 July the national preview of the production “il Rito delle Pinturas a Bolu” by Davide Toffolo and Arrogalla, a new audiovisual performance on the fauna of Sardinia. The appointments will be held starting from sunset on the splendid terrace in the heart of the Public Gardens of Sassari.
The only date in Sardinia for CCCP is August 3rd, after their unexpected event reunion. By popular demand, Elio’s return to Sardinia and the stories unfolded on July 31st with “I only have one tooth left and I’m trying to screw it back in”.
Daniela Pes, already a guest at the preview of the January festival, returns with a new exciting live show at Lo Quarter. The evening will have the opening of the talented Salento singer Lauryyn; Rora Nagasaky from Tempi, born Laura Luzzu, will then close the concert with a techno and technouse DJ set, strictly on vinyl.
Casadilego will open with Daniele Silvestri, a singer-songwriter and historical friend of the festival. Also for Diodato, the only stop is Alghero of the seven planned for the “I lit the fire” tour (29 July – Lo Quarter).
Tony Hadley with his show “Mad about you” on stage with his The Fabulous TH Band live, on August 22nd at the Ivan Graziani amphitheater he will close the Festival in Alghero.
The 2024 edition of Abbabula – organized in collaboration with Shining Production and Roble Factory – is part of the Alguer Summer Festival programme. Abbabula is organized thanks to the contribution of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities, the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Sardinia Region, the Sardinia Foundation, the Alghero Foundation and with the patronage of the Municipality of Alghero.
