The Seneca State High School participated in a packed conference room of the Majorana High School in Pozzuoliat the awards ceremony thirteenth edition of the Student Sports Championships of basketball, volleyball, five-a-side football, swimming and table tennis, tournaments played between secondary school students in the Phlegraean district, expertly coordinated by prof. Moio.
The boys of Torregaveta, under the guidance of the teachers Formisano, Borredon and Romeo, with commitment, dedication, and above all fair play, they distinguished themselves in all disciplines, obtaining brilliant results in the races played; first place medals for the basketball team and a swimming medal for Gaetano Lubrano with the victory of the 50 freestyle.
At the end of the event, after the distribution of the trophies, upon returning to school, the principal Maria Palma, visibly emotional, welcomed and thanked students and teachers, underlining the importance of sport which has always taught children to respect their opponents, to accept defeats, to collaborate with their teammates to achieve common goals. The manager concluded the morning dedicated to sport, already making an appointment for next school year’s edition.
