CODEVIGO (PADUA) – Crash on Romea, husband and wife dead. The accident occurred today, June 9th, around 3pm along the Romea in the Codevigo area, in front of the Balabuska hotel. Two vehicles were involved, a car and a camper.
Husband and wife, who were traveling in the car, lost their lives. He was 81 years old and died instantly, she was 76 years old and died later in hospital. The couple lived in San Donà. The driver of the camper, a man of German origin, was injured.
From an initial reconstruction, the car was traveling in the direction of Padua while the camper was coming in the opposite direction, towards Chioggia. The accident created traffic problems and formed queues of kilometers along the Romea.
