In the photo we are publishing, Giovanni Cascone and Angela Polizzi, aged 57 and 53, are smiling, happy, in love. It is the memory that everyone has of the Ragusan couple (she originally from Ramacca) as many, many, have known them. Especially the young people from Ragusa who have approached the world of music. They were both music teachers but above all they had a shop in the historic center entirely dedicated to musical instruments.
In Ragusa there are not many shops like this and therefore, also due to their kindness, as some young local musicians tell us, that shop has become a fixed stop for purchasing instruments but also just for advice.
Today not only friends and family mourn their death but also many acquaintances, some even young people, who appreciated their professional skills and human qualities. But there are also many musicians mourning them with whom Giovanni shared various and numerous performances. Both in structured concerts and in musical bands. The couple were traveling last night on their motorbike when, for reasons still being ascertained, the head-on impact with a Renault Clio occurred.
The two spouses died instantly. The causes of the accident, yet another with dramatic results, occurred along state road 115. Investigations are underway by the police who intervened on site together with the firefighters and 118 personnel to reconstruct the dynamics.
