The Municipality of Rho has been working for some time on the reorganization of the roads in the Mazzo area. Mobility councilor Valentina Giro has started a participatory process to evaluate the possibility of introducing a “zone 30”. In this journey she is supported by Decisio, a Dutch company based in Turin that is an expert in sustainable mobility. Starting from October 26th, several meetings were organized with the involvement of various local stakeholders: teachers and representatives of parents from the schools in the hamlet, members of the council of the hamlets and neighbourhoods, sports clubs, parishes and oratories, religious communities, Confcommercio, as well as representatives of the Mobility and Public Works Office. One of the meetings was dedicated to new road and urban planning perspectives for Piazza Gandhi, the commercial heart of the neighborhood.
The process is about to end with a public meeting, open to citizens, in which the results of the process will be illustrated and the interventions planned to improve road safety and make the hamlet more liveable. The appointment is scheduled for the evening of July 9th at 9pm in the parish hall under the church of Maria Ausiliatrice, with entrance from via Togliatti. Speakers will include mayor Andrea Orlandi, councilor Valentina Giro, Decisio experts Mariapaola Ritrovato and Cinzia Baralla, representatives of the municipal technical office.
