FRANCAVILLA. First week of checks after the entry into force of paid parking in Francavilla, with the staff in charge who, after having granted a grace period to allow users to get used to the new approach, began the checks. There have been no particular problems so far, even if the campaign is in fact still at the beginning and, as announced at the presentation, will continue until mid-September. Some data instead comes from the sale of season tickets, which as is known is underway at the IAT offices in Sirena, but also through the Mooneygo and Easypark apps. In these first weeks, around a thousand passes were purchased: among these, based on the data provided, 400 seasonal passes (4 months) were sold to residents, just under 200 were purchased by non-residents, while around a hundred families who have decided to take advantage of the formula that allows you to have a second season ticket at half price, as long as both are registered in the name of people from the same family unit. This is one of the novelties of this season ticket campaign, designed precisely to cater to those larger families, who in this way can purchase the first pass at full price (80 euros) and the second discounted by 50 percent. Then, alongside the sales of monthly tickets, it is worth mentioning another 100 free season tickets given to owners of electric cars, just as a similar number was purchased at half price by owners of hybrid cars. Thirty, at least until now, have been purchased by managers of city hotels: this too is new and allows only hotels to be able to enjoy subscriptions without a license plate to be made available to customers throughout the summer. The sales pace proceeds with an average of 30 to 40 coupons issued daily, in line with past numbers.
Offices open every day from 10am to 1pm and from 5pm to 8pm to allow those who need to buy their pass. It is always possible to purchase, in the approximately 40 parking meters scattered throughout the area, a single parking ticket, the price of which varies from 70 cents for half an hour up to 7 euros for the whole day on a public holiday (6 for weekdays). The first 15 minutes of parking, however, are always free, upon display of the coupon.
