Annual contract for the former Basket Costa
The three-year experience with the Spezzina basketball team has ended
LECCO – New basketball adventure for the Lecco wing/centre Silvia Colognesi. The product of the youth teams of Basketball Costa Masnagawho had taken his first steps at Basketball Leccowill play next season in Serie A2 in USE Scotti Empoliwith an annual agreement.
Colognesi (180 cm/2002) has just finished three years playing in the same category with the La Spezia basketball. The twenty-two year old ended her season averaging a “double double”, with over ten points and eleven rebounds per game (11.3), ranking third in the special ranking behind Alexandrine Obouh Fegue (14.9) e Adriana Cutrupi (12.8). The Como player also stood out for her precision in three-point shooting: her 38.6% puts her in eleventh place in the entire A2 Series.
“In the next sporting season I have chosen to go to Empoli, an ambitious club that wants to do well and from which I am sure I will learn new things, so as to broaden my personal baggage – she declares – after three years spent with the Spezzina basketball team, of which I have a wonderful memory, I wanted to try something new and different and I am very excited to embark on this new stage of my basketball journey with the Empoli club.”
The change of jersey wasn’t easy for the Larian. “Leaving La Spezia wasn’t easy, they were wonderful years in which I found special people and from whom I learned a lot, first and foremost from my coach Marco Corsolinithanks to which I improved and grew.”
