From 2pm Monday 10 June the state road 107 “Silana Crotonese” it will be temporarily closed in both directions at kilometer 37, between Cosenza and Rovito, to allow restoration work to be carried out on the “Fratelli Bandiera” viaduct. This is made known byAnas specifying that «completion of the works is expected by July 7th».

«As agreed in the Viability Operational Committee (Cov) in the Prefecture of Cosenza and in agreement with the local administrations involved – it is written in a note from Anas – traffic will be diverted as usual onto alternative roads. In detail: vehicles coming from A2/Cosenza towards Crotone/Sila will have to exit at the “Cosenza Centro Storico” junction (km 34,200) and continue towards Casali del Manco-Sila, Strade Provinciali (Sp217-Sp221-Sp225) returning to the state road 107 at the Spezzano della Sila junction (km 45,450). Reverse route for vehicles coming from Crotone/Sila towards Cosenza. Local traffic will be able to use the exits at the junctions of: Pianette Rovito and Cosenza Cimitero. Through filtering, access will be allowed in the closed section for residential properties with direct access to state road 107 – Celico and Rovito town, Cosenza cemetery, accommodation facilities».

«For long-distance traffic with vehicles coming from Sicily/Reggio Calabria/Vibo Valentia and headed towards Sila/Crotone – the note reports – it will be possible to use the A2 “Autostrada del Mediterraneo” towards Salerno, exit at Lamezia Terme towards Catanzaro , continue on Ss 280 “dei Due Mari”, Ss280 dir, Ss106 Var/A towards Sellia Marina, Ss106 Jonica towards Taranto. Reverse route for vehicles coming from Sila-Crotone and headed towards A2/Vibo Valentia/Reggio Calabria/Sicily. Vehicles coming from Campania/Basilicata and headed towards Sila/Crotone will be able to use the A2 “Autostrada del Mediterraneo” towards Reggio Calabria with exit at the Firmo junction, continue on Ss 534 of “Cammarata degli Stombi” and Ss106 “Jonica” towards Crotone. Reverse route for vehicles coming from Sila/Crotone and heading to A2/Basilicata/Campania».
