TERAMO – The history of Abruzzo tennis has arrived in Teramo.

The photographic exhibitionAbruzzo vintage tennis on tour‘, organized by the Florida 60 association, is a traveling journey in eight stages, starting from Lanciano and reaching the “Constante Bernardini” Tennis Club in Teramo. Photos and images tell the story of regional tennis. “We created this tour not so much for an Amarcord of Fellini’s memory but to bring around the history of Abruzzo tennis – explains the tennis coach and president of the ASP Florida 60 Giuseppe Cyril –. We want kids to know the roots of our tennis. There is no future without knowledge of the past”. The photographic exhibition is also accompanied by the artistic exhibition “Nemo propheta in his homeland” with Anna Rita’s tennis-inspired works AngelelliDanilo SusieVictor Di Boscio and Gerardo By Cola. “There are 4 very well-known artists who presented their works dedicated to tennis – Cirillo said again -. They are for sale and the proceeds will be used to purchase a tennis wheelchair for disabled people”. The cartoons of the well-known Giorgio also stand out in the exhibition Touch them.

After Teramo the tour will continue in Vasto (15 June), in Roseto degli Abruzzi (22 June) and then end in July (16-17-18) in the Adriatic capital, on the occasion of the 2nd Palio City of Pescara: a vintage team tennis tournament, to which players from the various clubs who will be included in the competition will be invited. Needless to say, the game will be played in tennis clothes from the past and with wooden rackets.
