Prof. Luisa Floccari of the Rosmini Comprehensive Institute and prof. Damiano Morise of the Istituto Comprensivo Maria Grazia Cutuli were awarded with the “New Awareness in School” recognition, established by the Municipality of Crotone to enhance teachers who stand out for their dedication to teaching and the ability to transmit values ​​and promote the civil commitment in their students.

Prof. Floccari will be rewarded for her commitment as director of the Anna Frank Polyphonic Choir, now associated with the OCC (Calabria Choir Organization), and for her educational, training and teaching work for her students. The choir, under her guidance, has achieved prestigious goals, becoming a cultural and musical point of reference for the city of Crotone.

To the prof. Damiano Morise, on the other hand, will be awarded for his ability to lead the orchestra of the Istituto Comprensivo Maria Grazia Cutuli to victory at the Global Educational Festival 2024 in Sanremo. His sensitivity and balance allowed the students to reach such an important goal, demonstrating their talent and passion for music.

The awards ceremony will be held on June 25th at 11.00 in the Council Room of the Municipality of Crotone. The event will be an opportunity to celebrate the value of education and the fundamental role of teachers in the education of tomorrow’s citizens.
