The first friendly match ahead of Copa America of the Peru it ended goalless. Against the Paraguay, Gianluca Lapadula and his teammates were unable to go beyond a 0-0 draw in the Monumental friendly, with the player from Cagliari who played practically the entire match.
The rossoblù number 9 teamed up with Rivera in Technical Commissioner Fossati’s 3-4-1-2 in a match characterized by few chances: it was the guests who had the most important chances, with the Andean national team not finding any particular outlets near Coronel. Good indications from a physical point of view, however, for the striker who scored three goals this season: Lapadula had in fact suffered a physical problem that had forced him to train with his national team, which however did not prevent him from playing against Paraguay. The next friendly match for the Bicolor is scheduled for June 14th in Philadelphia against El Salvador, then the official debut in the Copa America in the Clásico del Pacifico against Chile (Saturday June 22nd at 02.30 Italian time).
