Crotone: “New Awareness in School” Award to Luisa Floccari and Damiano Morise

The “New Awareness in School” award, the traditional recognition established by the Municipality of Crotone to highlight for public esteem the teachers who have been able to transmit not only knowledge and passion for study to their students but also propose good innovative practices capable to make the same active protagonists of city life, for 2024 it was assigned to prof. Luisa Floccari of the Rosmini Comprehensive Institute and to prof. Damiano Morise of the Maria Grazia Cutuli Comprehensive Institute.

The City Council, on the proposal of the Councilor for Public Education Nicola Corigliano, has decided on the recognition which will be conferred during an official ceremony which will be held on June 25th at 11.00 in the Council Room.

The recognition was awarded to Professor Floccari with the following motivation: “director of the Anna Frank Polyphonic Choir, now associated with the OCC (Calabria Choir Organization) for its educational, training and didactic work for its students”

To the prof. Damiano Morise, director of the Institute’s orchestra which won the prestigious Global Educational Festival 2024 in Sanremo with the following motivation “for having guided its students with sensitivity and balance to the prestigious affirmation at the European school arts festival”.
