Turin, Horvath receives the European award after a good season

The Hungarian attacking midfielder was awarded the European Championship. Then he will play his cards in retirement

11 goals and 7 assists in 32 games are important numbers for an attacking midfielder: Horvath, born in 2002, was the protagonist of an excellent season in his homeland with Kecskemet, a team that plays in the Hungarian top league. Now, after the European Championship with Marco Rossi’s Hungary, his chances will be played out in the training camp in Pinzolo with the new coach.

Horvath and the Bull: His Career

Krisztofer Horvath arrived at Torino in 2020 from SPAL. With the Este family he also had time to make his Serie A debut, against Toro on 26 July 2020. The club kept him for a year in the Primavera (but he managed to make his First Team debut in the Italian Cup against Virtus Entella) and then he sent to Hungary to gain experience: first in Serie B at Szeged, then at Debrecen and finally at Kecskemet in January 2023, contributing to the achievement of second place in the championship and qualification for the Conference League preliminaries with 15 appearances and six goals. At the end of last season Toro chose to renew the loan to continue to help him grow in an environment that had valued him. At the moment the future is on his side: he has renewed until 2025, with an option for 2026, and will be able to play his cards at the European Championship in a difficult, but not prohibitive group against Germany, Switzerland and Scotland. In retreat he will be able to show off, hoping to be ready in a more challenging championship than the Hungarian one.
