These are the results of the monitoring activity of the firefighters and the technical office of the municipality which ended late in the evening in via Monte Santo where a fire broke out inside a garage shortly after 7pm, affecting the cars and the material present. The verification activities were particularly complex since we had to wait for the safety operations of the basement to be concluded.
The high cloud of black smoke was clearly visible even from afar. Fortunately, no people were involved, also because the fire appears to have started from one of the parked cars due to spontaneous combustion. At least four cars were affected or partially damaged in the 100 square meter garage completely destroyed by the flames. Damage was also recorded in the upper part where, in addition to the homes, there is a commercial activity which has resumed regular activity after the big scare yesterday afternoon. The firefighters, local police, carabinieri and a 118 health team were on site as a precaution. One of the firefighters who intervened suffered a slight illness but there was no need for any medical intervention. Last night, the repercussions on city traffic, which went completely haywire in one of the most congested areas at that time of the evening, were also inevitable.
