On the occasion of the conclusion of the 7th edition of the “PretenDiamo Legalità” project/competition, organized by the Ministry of the Interior – Department of Public Security in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, 17 schools in the province of Ragusa participated with great commitment. To celebrate the end of the initiative, the Police Commissioner of the Province of Ragusa, Dr. Vincenzo Trombadore, and the Director of the Regional School Office for Sicily – Territorial Area of Ragusa, Dr. Viviana Assenza, sent their representatives to the schools involved to meet the students and give them certificates of participation.

The meetings

During these meetings, representatives of law enforcement and education thanked the children for their commitment during the school year. The students produced a variety of works, including poems, posters, photographs, paintings, collages, models, digital works and videos, all on the theme of legality. These works were delivered to the Police Headquarters and examined by a commission chaired by the Police Commissioner, who underlined the high quality level of the documents.

The policemen of the Police Headquarters and the representative of the teachers of the USRAT IX of Ragusa visited several institutes, including Palazzello, Cesare Battisti, Mariele Ventre and Berlinguer of Ragusa, Don Milani of Scicli, Santa Marta Ciaceri of Modica, and Padre Pio of Pietralcina of Ispica. During the visits, in the presence of school managers and teachers, certificates of participation were given to the students, who responded enthusiastically.

The meetings provided a significant opportunity for students to interact directly with police officers and ask them questions on the topic of legality. This direct contact allowed the children to deepen their understanding of legality and the role of law enforcement in society, helping to strengthen their civic sense and awareness of legal values.
