On the afternoon of Tuesday 11 June, the citizen assembly of Pastoral Zone 3 will be held in Cremona, at the bishop’s seminary, in the presence of Bishop Antonio Napolioni. This was announced on the Diocese website.
And the Bishop himself, in a letter sent to all the entities of the city of Cremona in view of the assembly, recalls “the need to give a more mature and decisive form to a path of communion between the different faces of the Church present in Cremona” , as recently highlighted in the pastoral letter for the IV Centenary of the Loreto Sanctuary of Cremona.
A theme on which, after the pastoral visit to the city, the zonal team began to work, gradually putting together a reading of the situation and the proposals on which a broader involvement of parishes, associations and movements, religious communities, diocesan services will be requested .
Hence the proposal for a Citizen’s Assembly which will take place on Tuesday 11 June from 7pm to 10pm at the Cremona Seminary. After the welcome moment, at 7.30 pm we will begin with the prayer led by the Bishop, followed by a brief summary of the journey carried out by the zonal team.
At 8.15pm there will be a buffet for all participants, who will then be called to discuss around three work tables which will focus on three themes: youth and university ministry; Christian Initiation; social and cultural pastoral care. To help participants prepare for the meeting, three sheets relating to each of the working tables were prepared.
The invitation to the evening is addressed to all the priests of the city and to the Secretariats of the parish and unitary pastoral councils with the vice-presidents and pastoral workers involved in the parish in the areas explored in the working tables. In addition to the parishes, the religious institutes present in Cremona and the ecclesial aggregations were involved, called to participate in the Assembly with their managers and some representatives involved in the areas mentioned above.
