Imperia. The province of Imperia is preparing for an important round of elections which will see 29 municipalities go to the vote to elect new mayors and municipal councils. The elections are held today, Saturday 8th, and tomorrow, Sunday 9th June. AND’ Sanremo the only municipality voting with more than 15 thousand inhabitants. Unlike the other electoral rounds scheduled in the Imperia area, in the City of Flowers, in the absence of a mayoral candidate capable of obtaining the preference of 50%+1 of voters in the first round, there will be a run-off in the days of Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 June. In Sanremo it is possible to give a split vote (for a list not connected to the chosen mayor) and a double gender preference. Voters are asked to cast their votes by going to polling stations starting from Saturday, from 3pm to 11pm until Sunday from 7am to 11pm.
