The Viterbo Clean Up group launches the proposal: “Do any administrators want to give flowers and come and water?”
VITERBO – Where the Municipality fails, the volunteers of Viterbo Clean Up arrive, an association that has always had the city of Viterbo and its greenery at heart. Their latest intervention took place in the last few hours in Piazza della Rocca.
“We set out with the intention of just putting flowers in the planters and instead we got carried away by completely cleaning up the entire Piazza della Rocca”, they write on the association’s pages.
The small group manually removed all the grass that had grown between the sidewalks and the car parks on both sides, including that of the traffic island, cleaned more than 10 manholes, cut the grass in front of the Rocca Albornoz, home of the national Etruscan museum, cleaned the roses in the area greenery in the middle of the square and removed all the waste in the area.
With the excuse, Viterbo Clean Up has also put a patch for the planters. “We also remembered to plant the new flowers – they write again – purchased exclusively for this area of the city which deserves much more attention and at least 4 more baskets”.
Finally, the volunteers launch a simple proposal to the administration: “There is someone among the councilors and councilors (of the majority and minority) who we would like to give away some new flowers and perhaps actively take care of these small planters that only need of water?”.
