PESARO – Thirty-eight mayors to choose in the province of Pesaro Urbino. Sixteen already in pectore and 70 candidates.

Citizens with the right to vote will be able to go to the polls on Saturday 8 June from 3.00 pm to 11.00 pm and Sunday 9 June 2024 from 7.00 am to 11.00 pm. Once the voting is declared closed, the counting operations for the election of Italy’s members of the European Parliament will begin. Counting for the municipal elections will begin at 2pm on Monday 10 June 2024.
TO Pesaro those entitled to vote are 80,862 of which 38,804 men and 42,058 women. The oldest is a woman who is 108 years old on the date of the vote. They are asked to choose between 4 mayoral candidates in the 106 seats spread across the city.
TO Fano there are 3 candidates and there are 51,783 voters of which 25,048 males and 26,735 females.
TO Urbino there are 3 candidates who can be voted for by 12,157 voters of which 6,030 men and 6,127 women.
Overall there are 70 candidates for mayor, but there are also 16 municipalities where only one list was presented. Therefore there is already a mayor in pectore in Monte Grimano, Mombaroccio, Tavullia, Serra Sant’Abbondio, Monte Cerignone, Montecalvo, Borgo Pace, Lunano, Piobbico, Peglio, Belforte, Fratte Rosa, Montefelcino, Sant’Ippolito, Frontone and Cartoceto . But be careful, to elect the mayor you need to reach a double quorum: at least 40% of voters and of these 50% must express the correct preference for the mayor.
Acqualagna also chooses the mayor; Apecchio; Belforte all’Isauro; Rennet; Cantiano; Carpegna; Gabicce Mare; Macerata Feltria; Mercatello sul Metauro; Monte Grimano Terme; Monte Porzio; Montecalvo in Foglia; Montelabbate; Pergola; Petrian; Piandiappleto; Pietrarubbia; San Costanzo; San Lorenzo in Campo; Sassocorvaro Auditore; Urbania; Vallefoglia.

In the municipalities of Pesaro, Fano and Urbino, a run-off is planned if 50% +1 of the preferences are not reached. The operations of the possible ballot will take place from 7.00 to 23.00 on Sunday 23 June and from 7.00 to 15.00 on Monday 24 June 2024.
