To secure the Luni plain, just under 400 meters still remain to be systemised, and for this reason the Municipality has called the services conference which will call on the interested bodies to produce observations. To be precise, the last step necessary to contain the tantrums of the Parmignola stream, already adequately controlled in the upstream section with a series of operations planned by the Municipality of Luni and supported by the Liguria Region, 372 meters remain to be completed. Those that from the stream in Portonetti right on the municipal border with the competence of the Sarzanese authority that arrives at the Muraglione footbridge, the latter already in the territory of the Municipality of Carrara.
The institution has planned to carry out a new hydraulic safety intervention identified as the second functional lot of the overall intervention to improve the main watercourse that crosses the Luni area. An important investment involving a total amount of 1 million and 92 thousand euros which obtained financing of 1 million and 32 thousand euros with PNRR resources assigned by Decree of the Head of the Department for Internal and Territorial Affairs of the Ministry of the Interior last May 19th. The executive planning and safety coordination was entrusted to Studio Croce srl. The deadline within which the administrations involved can request documentary additions or clarifications relating to facts, states or qualities not attested in documents already in possession of the administration itself expires on 20 June. From the hill of San Rocco arriving through the Settequartieri area, this latest bypass intervention carried out by the State Railways to allow the flow of the flood waters of the Parmignola under the track route, the Municipality is arranging in pieces to effectively counter the hydraulic risk.
