Petru Molnar is the brother of Cristian, missing since May 31st after the flood of the Natisone river which killed Patrizia Cormos and Bianca Doros. And he claims that his brother is still “alive, I can hear him breathing. But we must hurry to save him.” Firefighters and Civil Protection have been looking for Cristian for eight days now. Petru wants us to continue looking for him: «I want to bring him home to my parents. They told me that from tomorrow the number of researchers will decrease: woe betide you even thinking about it! Indeed, I officially ask Italy to intensify them because the more days that pass, the more they are needed”, he says today at Corriere della Sera. Meanwhile, during the investigations it emerged that Cormos’ phone still works: the analysis of the cell phone will be decisive to understand if there were errors in the rescue plan.
Very theatrical research
Petru adds that what is underway these days «seems to me to be very theatrical research. I will ask my lawyer Gaetano Longhi to have the videos shot by drones delivered immediately because I know my brother better than anyone and I could see even a tiny detail of him and help save him. He is my only brother, my pride.” According to Molnar «Cristian is 25 years old, he is six feet tall with muscles and is in the prime of his youth and strength. He has always been an excellent swimmer and he will be here somewhere: we need to find him now. Then I will ask the rescuers some things that I don’t understand.” And he says he cannot explain in the tragedy «why they didn’t immediately go to get them from the other side of the river with a rope or something to hold on to. The shore is close. It doesn’t seem normal to me that a rope was lowered to him from above and then he fell. I miss my brother very much these days and I hope to be able to ask him for explanations soon.”

And Petru also wants to ask Cristian «why they went into the river that day. He knows them well and, certainly, they were not there to take a bath. It would be enough to notice in the images that no one was in costume. Cristian is a very good boy, he has never been reckless and if he had perceived risks he would never have gone there with Bianca.” He says he doesn’t know if he and the Romanian girl were engaged. Even though they dated and loved each other very much. «They met in Romania and lived in two towns five kilometers apart. I don’t know if what plans they had in detail in those days, perhaps they had to return by car together to Romania. Cristian lived with me in Austria where I emigrated a few years ago. He always had a good head on his shoulders, and after he graduated from high school, he joined me. He was hired in the same factory as me, he is a hard worker. Everyone is waiting for it”, he concludes.
