Last appeals in squares and hotel rooms today for the electoral campaign in Campobasso.
In the Molise capital, where voting takes place on Saturday and Sunday to elect the new mayor and the new city council, the three candidates for the office of mayor have chosen different methods for the final meetings with the voters before the electoral silence.
“Voting for us – said the centre-right candidate Aldo De Benedittis – means focusing on a well-defined political proposal, on a close-knit and cohesive team and on a concrete programme, those who vote for us vote for change and to send the responsible for the current decline of Campobasso. We ask the citizens – he added – to help us revive this city. Only the centre-right can do this, because only we can guarantee a solid, broad and cohesive majority in Palazzo San Giorgio”.

I ask you to take back the future and participate in the vote because you are the most important part of our community. I want the city of Campobasso to respond to your needs and needs”.
Finally, the outsider of the electoral campaign, the candidate of the Cantiere Civico, Pino Ruta, underlined the position of his formation, distant from the parties: “We are aiming for the run-off – he highlighted – with our three lists we have carried out an electoral campaign concentrated on meetings and we made an appeal to citizens to be protagonists of politics themselves and not to give delegation to the parties. They responded en masse and therefore we composed authentic civic lists, made up of people from civil society, people who have decided to. regain possession of the institutions and take the destiny of this city back into their hands and relaunch it while keeping the traditional parties out of this perimeter”.
The last days of the electoral campaign were marked by the presence in the city of several national leaders of the progressive coalition (both Elly Schlein and Giuseppe Conte arrived for Forte) while on the centre-right front the big names like Matteo Salvini and Antonio did not stop in the city. Tajani while Maurizio Lupi (We Moderates) and Lorenzo Cesa (UDC) came. There have been many comparisons between the three mayoral candidates, both on TV and in initiatives promoted by associations and professional bodies. Forte and Ruta were always present while De Benedittis chose to participate only in some of these face to face.
