The first day of the Champions Cup staged at the PalaIndoor in Padua has just ended, a fundamental viaticum for qualifying for the Overall 2024. The competition, once again organized by the local Corpo Libero Gymnastics Team of president Tommaso Toffanin, has been included in the calendar of the men’s section for several years and, for the second season, also involves the women’s large apparatus competition. Today’s program saw the Open gymnasts compete first, i.e. the Junior 1s with the best A5 students from the Gold Individual Students Championship. In this category, Gabriele Pasanisi (Eschilo Sporting Village) prevailed with a total of 72,150 on the six apparatus, followed by Paolo Giglio (Ionica Gym) with 72 net points and Leonardo Pulito (Victoria Torino), bronze with 71,350 points . At the foot of the Venetian podium, however, Oscar Carlo Giacomuzzo (Pro Patria Bustese), at 69,400. Among the Junior 3, however, Simone Speranza (New Sport) triumphed with an overall Olympic lap of 78.600. Second place for Diego Vazzola (Pro Carate) with 77,500. Third place for Manuel Belettera (Artistica Brescia) with 76,800. The awards ceremony was attended by Franco Mantero, representing the federal president Gherardo Tecchi, Dario Martello, president of the Veneto FGI Regional Committee, his advisor Mario Montanarini and Fulvio Traverso, national representative of the GAM Jury.
