On the occasion of Elections of the members of European Parliament due to Italy which will take place tomorrow, Saturday 8, and Sunday 9 June 2024, the Electoral service of the General Affairs department communicates that, as provided for by the circular of the Prefecture of Messina prot. n. 47451 of 7/05/2024, in order to facilitate the release of undelivered or duplicate electoral cards, are provided both at Palazzo Zanca, in Piazza Unione Europea n. 1 (also for issuing identity cards), which at the six district offices, extraordinary openings:

– today, Friday 7 June, from 9am to 6pm;

– tomorrow, Saturday 8 June, from 9am to 11pm;

– Sunday 9 June, from 7am to 11pm.

The six district offices are as follows:

I District – Vico Petraro, 6 – Tremestieri (for issuing electoral cards and identity cards);

II District – Palazzo Servizi – San Filippo stadium (for issuing electoral cards and identity cards);

III District – “La Pira” Camaro San Paolo school complex (for issuing electoral cards);

IV District – via dei Mille is. 88 n. 257 (for issuing electoral cards);

V District – via Nicola Petrina, 2 – Villa Lina (for issuing electoral cards and identity cards);

VI District – via Consolare Pompea n. 1853 Ganzirri (for issuing electoral cards and identity cards).

The electoral card is given to the holder, to a cohabiting family member or to third parties with a proxy signed by the holder, accompanied by a photocopy of the delegating person’s identity document.

To avoid concentrating requests on voting days, voters are invited to check in advance whether they are in possession of their personal electoral card and that the spaces intended for affixing the section stamp for certifying the vote have not run out.

It is useful to remember that voters, to be admitted to vote, must show their electoral card and identity card or other identification document issued by the public administration, provided that it has a photograph and which, for identification purposes, is the receipt of the electronic identity card is also valid (Ministry of the Interior circular no. 2 of 02/14/2018).

Voting will take place tomorrow, Saturday 8 June, from 3pm to 11pm, and Sunday 9 June, from 7am to 11pm. To avoid situations of overcrowding, mix-ups or delays in the operations of the polling stations, we invite voters to go to vote from the early morning, avoiding, as far as possible, the time slots immediately before the closing of voting.
