The event has the national patronage of the Anci, the Coni Regional Committee of Basilicata, the Italian Paralympic Committee of Basilicata, Slow Food Basilicata, the Asp Basilicata, the Municipality of Viggianello and the Socio-Territorial Area of Lagonegrese Pollino.
Also this year the route will be curated by Radura Trekking guides.
Sunday June 9th is the Lucanian stage of the Blue Staff for autism is scheduled, now in its third edition.
They are expected 50 people including children and adults with autism spectrum disorders, parents and carers.
The route in Basilicata will have the Pollino National Park as its backdrop.
The blue column will run along the south-western side of Serra del Prete, one of the 5 highest peaks in the Park, crossing centuries-old prairies and beech forests, then it will reach the Belvedere del Malvento, from which it is possible to appreciate a magnificent panorama of northern Calabria and in particular the Sibari Plain and the Orsomarso Chain.
It will also be possible to observe the famous Loricati pines on the steep ridge south of Serra del Prete.
It is mandatory along the route a stop at the Faggio delle Sei Sorelleone of the monumental trees of Italy.
At a national level the event involves 14 regions and 2000 people.
The organization is carried out by the territorial Angsas with the support of the national structure and this year avails itself, for the first time, of the patronage of the Anci (National Association of Italian Municipalities) to confirm the support and commitment given by the local authorities to the columns blue that have touched their territory in the last two editions.
This year the role of the municipalities will be extended and generalised, the mayors of the centers chosen as the starting point will welcome the group and start the journey.
The organization is managed by the families themselves who want to create a day of socializing immersed in nature for children and adults with autism spectrum disorders.
The stages are scheduled for 2, 9, 16, 23 June in: Sicily, Piedmont, Molise, Emilia Romagna, Campania, Valle D’Aosta, Umbria, Lazio, Marche, BasilicataVeneto, Tuscany and Val d’Aosta, Puglia and Calabria.
