The live dates in Sicily for Gigi D’Alessio are enriched with a new fifth date. On the journey of the new Outdoor 2024 tour, the artist will return to meet his Sicilian audience on August 31st in MESSINA in the wonderful Capo Peloro Arena – Ex Sea Flight. An additional stage that confirms Gigi D’Alessio’s close bond with Sicily and its people.
The event, within the tour produced by GGD and Friends & Partners in collaboration with Sicily by Car, is organized by Puntoeacapo (artistic direction by Nuccio La Ferlita) in collaboration with the Municipality of Messina, led by the Mayor Federico Basile, and the Department of Entertainment and Major City Events.
Tickets for the concert will be available for pre-sale starting from 4.00 pm today, Friday 7 June on the puntoeacapo.uno website, on the circuits and in the usual sales points.
The announcement of the artist’s new show was made official today on the day of the presentation of the program of summer events promoted by the municipal administration of Messina for summer 2024.
“The summer program which it is no coincidence that we have called ‘E-state in Messina a sea of fun’ is enriched with a new event which will see Gigi D’Alessio performing in the splendid setting of Capo Peloro. We are pleased – declare the mayor of Messina Federico Basile and the councilor for major events Massimo Finocchiaro – to offer citizens and tourists present in the city the opportunity to get involved in the emotions that the singer-songwriter and ambassador of Neapolitan music manages to convey with his melodies and his lyrics to experience an evening full of fun and aggregation”.
In the new live shows, the artist embraces his audience again to sing together his most loved songs, in a setlist that contains over 30 years of successes: from historical songs such as “Non morrare mai”, “The path of age”, ” Mon amour”, “Quanti amori”, “Como suena el corazon”, “Non dirgli mai”, up to the more recent ones such as “La prima stella” and “Benvenuto amore”, “Noi due”, “L’ammore”, “Like me”, “While life goes away”, and many others.
On stage he is accompanied by Alfredo Golino (drums), Roberto D’Aquino (bass), Pippo Seno (guitars), Ciro Manna (guitars), Checco D’Alessio (keyboards), Lorenzo Maffia (piano and keyboards) and Max D’ Amber (keyboards and programming).
Gigi D’Alessio has just released the new album “Fra”, (GGD Edizioni Srl/Sony Music) released last May 24th: a tracklist of 10 songs ranging from new songs, unforgettable revisited hits and many unreleased features. Fra inaugurates the first chapter of a new recording project by an artist who never stops giving emotions with his music.
And summer 2024 will be full of events not to be missed for all fans. From today 7 June the 8 special events of “GIGI – ONE LIKE YOU – L’EMOZIONE CONTINUA” are opening, scheduled in Piazza del Plebiscito until Sunday 16 June. Then Gigi’s summer continues with a busy live calendar which will touch on the most beautiful locations in Italy during the tour, from north to south, starting from the capital of Sicily with the double appointment on 5 and 6 July at the Paolo Borsellino Velodrome of Palermo for the Dream Pop Fest event. Then it will be Catania’s turn with the two concerts scheduled at Villa Bellini on 11 and 12 August as part of the Sotto il Vulcano Fest event promoted as part of the Catania Summer Fest 2024 program of the Etna administration.
