It will be more convenient for many citizens of Sesto San Giovanni fill up with still or sparkling water. Gruppo Cap has in fact opened a new Water House, the fourth in the Municipality.

Good water from the aqueduct

The plant came into operation today Friday 7 June 2024, at Garden XXV Aprileand will allow even more people from Sesto to get free supplies of high quality water, taken from the city aqueduct, excellent for drinking and cooking.

“Water a precious commodity”

So does the mayor Roberto Di Stefano:

Water is a precious commodity, and in our municipality the commitment to guarantee its free supply to all Sesto residents is clearly visible.

With this inauguration, in fact, the water houses in our city will become four, all positioned in strategic areas to allow the greatest number of residents to find natural, sparkling, safe water at no cost and with the guarantee of high safety and security standards. hygiene. This house, like the previous ones, follows the desire to offer useful and accessible services, while promoting sustainable and environmentally friendly behavior.

Reducing the use of plastic bottles, encouraging the consumption of quality water directly from our territory, adopting these habits leads towards a more sustainable future that is attentive to the resources of our planet. I thank Gruppo CAP which made the creation of this little house possible and I invite all the people of Sesto to take advantage of the service, making good use of it, to feel part of a community that grows together.

Over 200 Water Houses

With the new Water House of Sesto San Giovanni, a total of 208 have been inaugurated in the area of the metropolitan city of Milan. This important service for citizens is the result of the collaboration between the Municipality and CAP Group, the green utility that manages the integrated water service in all the municipalities of the Milan area.

The methods for using the service will be the same as for all the houses built by CAP: the withdrawal of natural water will be free, while sparkling water is reserved only for residents, recognized through the health card.

Each authorized user has 12 liters of sparkling water available per week. In the event of breakdowns or malfunctions, citizens will have access to the toll-free number dedicated to the Water Houses 800271999 or the email address [email protected].

Gruppo Cap will take care of all ordinary and extraordinary maintenance activities, the supply of CO2 for sparkling water, periodic sanitisation and analysis of the water supplied. The analyzes of all Gruppo Cap’s water houses, which are updated on a monthly basis, are available to citizens, who can consult them on the company websitegruppocap.it in the What we do/Water Houses section, or through the MyCAP app, downloadable for free from the Apple Store and Google Play.

Every Water House delivers an average of 500 liters per day, equal to over 36,000,000 liters per year in total, and will therefore be over 700 thousand liters in Sesto. On each Water House, Gruppo Cap carries out specific checks every month on 40 parameters.

Added to these are the checks carried out on wells and networks: almost 20,000 samples per year and over 780,000 analytical determinations carried out annually on various chemical and microbiological parameters, which confirm that the tap water is of excellent quality, with a balanced in mineral salts and bacteriologically pure.
