Castellammare, disappearance of Carmine Zurlo, the family’s pain: “We no longer sleep”
Carmine Zurlo’s mother and sister returned to television to ask for information on the fate of the young man from Castellammare di Stabia, who disappeared over two years ago. “Give Carmine back to us, we want to know where he was made to disappear”, they declared during the program “Who saw him?”. More than two years have now passed since Carmine Zurlo, then twenty-nine years old, disappeared after leaving home in Castellammare in March 2022. His girlfriend, who was expecting a child, was the first to notice his absence. His cell phone was turned off and there has been no news from him since. Despite the investigations by the Carabinieri, who also used molecular dogs, from the beginning it was suspected that it was a case of white wolfhound.

Graduated from the hotel institute and originally from the Lattari Mountains, Carmine Zurlo had lived in Castellammare di Stabia for some time and worked as a cured meats representative. The night before his disappearance, he had not returned home and that same night he had been seen in a bar in the city, in the shadow of Vesuvius. On the morning of March 14, 2022, he sent a message to his girlfriend, with whom he had an appointment around midday, but he never showed up. From that moment on, nothing more was heard of Carmine.
