Perugia, Santopadre’s ultimatum: the date set to start the transfer of the club

The president of Perugia Massimiliano Santopadre is ready to change hands and for this reason has set a date, by the end of the month, to start negotiations for the sale of the Umbrian club. First, however, we will have to wait for the court’s approval on the write-off of the debt with the Revenue Agency, scheduled for mid-month.

This is reported by Courier of Umbria taking stock of the situation by explaining that Santopadre will give himself until the end of June to understand if there are the right and appropriate conditions to start a negotiation with potential investors that is based on solid foundations and which only at that point could lead to beyond June. If, however, no request materializes, then the Perugia transfer market will begin, on which sporting director Giugliarelli is obviously already working, taking into account that first it will be necessary to sell in order to remain within the sustainability parameters with the market having to break even.

The group that has moved most diligently in recent weeks is the consortium led by Claudio ScurpaCEO of Vitakraft – already a sponsor of Grifo – who already had a summit with president Santopadre last April, and who said he was ready to wait for approval and then go deeper with discussions on the purchase of the club.
