Attempted robbery at the International School of Bergamo: window broken, but the alarm goes off

The alarm was triggered this night, between Thursday 6 and Friday 7 June, when someone broke the glass and forced open a window at the International School of Bergamo, in via Monte Gleno 54. However, he was unable to bring away nothing, because the alarm went off and the security arrived on site.

The alarm was immediately raised

The episode happened around 1.30 am, when probable thieves broke into the structure in an attempt to steal anything of value they found. An action, however, immediately blocked by the building’s alarm system, which detected the presence of a subject – perhaps it was more than one person, it is not clear at the moment – and alerted the security guards.

Escaped without loot

An Italian surveillance patrol arrived on site and carried out a check together with a representative of the school to understand the extent of the damage and whether any objects had in fact disappeared. However, it seems that, apart from the inconvenience and expense of repairing the window, the institute’s managers will not have to take anything else into account, because nothing appears to be missing.

In practice, whoever snuck in didn’t have time to do anything, because the signal went off immediately and the siren must, in all likelihood, have put them to flight immediately.
