About 80 cases in the sights of the Naples prosecutor’s office with one twenty suspects. From the strict confidentiality of the investigators, these first data leak out in relation to the investigation that has been ongoing for some time into a round of illegal entry of migrants into the Campania region. A topic relaunched by Prime Minister Meloni three days ago also with a complaint to the National Anti-Mafia Prosecutor’s Office. The investigative line would focus for now on the Vesuvian area and the entries of immigrants from Bangladesh.
The chain of illegality would involve compliant companies but also intermediaries, lawyers and consultants from tax assistance centres. All involved in various capacities in practices to pretend that migrants arrived in Italy with the security of a job.
Any illegal entry would have been paid several thousand euros, which the criminal organization divided among its affiliates. The investigation is still in full swing, and it cannot be ruled out that the organized crime local may have played a role in the affair. Just as the network for entries from Bangladesh could have been replicated in other areas of Campania for the benefit of non-EU citizens coming from other countries.
