The Giancarlo Castiglioni Award and two Fair Play Awards will also be presented on Wednesday 12th at the Knights Playground
Legnano – As a career award, the prize will be awarded to Dino Meneghin, former basketball player and sports manager. Fiamma Panathlon, named after Sergio Allegrini from 2022. Wednesday 12 June Panathlon Club Malpensa will be the protagonist of 4th edition of Panathlon Day, an initiative dedicated to the celebration of the panathletic world and the values of sporting ethics, on the 73rd anniversary of the foundation of the first club in Venice. To frame the event, a women’s basketball exhibition between Basket Canegrate and Pro Patria Hupac of Busto Arsizio.
During the evening also the 31st edition of Giancarlo Castiglioni Award (one of the most representative figures of sports associations in the area) assigned to Giancarlo Agazzi, founder and soul of the Valle Olona Team as well as inspirer of the Valle Olona Day, an annual event between sport and charity and two Fair Play Awards, specifically the one for the Gesture which will honor Rocco Amendolara for a poignant story in support of the memory of a tragically deceased footballer and that to the Promotion to the journalist and author Giovanni Cortinovis for the passion and creativity with which he self-produced the work “North West 200 – The most beautiful race in the world”, the the proceeds of which are totally beneficial. The event was presented by President of the Panathlon Club La Malpensa, Sergio La Torre, with him also Past President Giovanni Castiglioni. In case of bad weather, Panathlon Day will be hosted by PalaKnights in via Parma in Legnano.
