The “All Blacks” arrive in Turin – The great rugby match

On November 23, the Allianz Stadium will host a non-football event for the first time: a rugby match between Italy and the All Blacks. This match, part of the Autumn Nations Series, is made possible thanks to an agreement between Juventus and the Italian Rugby Federation (FIR). Gonzalo Quesada will lead the Azzurri in the third and final test match of the series.

Francesco Calvo, managing director revenue & football development of Juventus, underlined how the Allianz Stadium, the first owned stadium in Italy, is always at the cutting edge of technology and ready to open up to new opportunities such as this collaboration with FIR. Marzio Innocenti, president of the FIR, highlighted the importance of hosting the All Blacks, considered an icon of world sport, in one of the best Italian sports facilities.

Alberto Cirio, president of the Piedmont Region, highlighted how this event enriches the region’s curriculum in the organization of international events, alongside the ATP Finals, the Giro d’Italia and the Tour de France.

“Turin – concluded the mayor, Stefano Lo Russo to Ansa – “is increasingly proving to be the ideal location for major international sporting events and we are really very happy about it. Welcoming the All Blacks, a true legend of the world of rugby and an icon of global sport, will be a great opportunity for visibility for the area.”
