In recent days, UPGSP personnel on territory control duty arrested a minor in the act of committing the crime of possession for the purpose of dealing narcotic substances.
The boy, with no criminal record, was checked with others of his age while he was in the northern area of the city.
The State Police Agents immediately noticed the intolerance shown by the arrested person during the control phases and therefore decided to proceed with a personal search.
As a result of this activity, in the backpack that the boy had with him, 10 sachets containing a substance were found and seized which, from subsequent investigations carried out by the Regional Scientific Police Office of Reggio Calabria, turned out to be of the marijuana type , for a total weight of almost 16 grams. In another package, kept in the same backpack, a sachet was recovered with almost 5 grams of hashish inside.
The activity of the Judicial Police continued in the home of the arrested person where the police officers also found a blank pistol kept in a box.
The competent judicial authority for minors validated the arrest and ordered the young man to stay at home.
