«We have read Senator Berrino’s heartfelt appeal to vote for the mayoral candidate Rolando, whom he defined as the “future”.
We allow ourselves two considerations. The first is that we would expect a much different political and institutional level from a local senator. Berrino was elected with the votes of many people who today, with certain statements, he has ceased to represent. Senator Berrino should remember that he represents the territory and not his party.
As for his idealized vision of the candidate Rolando, indicated by the senator as “the future” and as an element of novelty, we believe that the candidate Rolando, already a resounding loser in the 2004 elections against the mayor Claudio Borea, with a long political career behind him in various parties and which has Tonino Bissolotti among its closest collaborators, may represent anything but an element of novelty. And we also believe that someone who in the past, called to lead Amaie and with a significant role in the public administration, committed serious mistakes that we are still paying for now cannot represent the future of our community.”
